Carefully cutting away the outer skin of a cored hull. A large section of this balsa cored hull had significant amounts of water in the core requiring it to be cut out and replaced.
The outer skin has been removed as well as all wet core. The inner skin is now ready to be prepped for installation of the new balsa core.
Balsa core has been bonded in place with vinylester resin. Here the new balsa core is being sealed with a thickened vinylester resin prior to being glassed over.
