Our mechanical staff is lead by Mike Sells who has been with the yard for 35 years. Mike’s vast experience and mechanical expertise make him invaluable when it comes to diagnosing any mechanical problems in all parts of your boat, from engines and refrigeration to plumbing and complete drive trains. Mike recently headed up one of the most complicated and difficult repowering projects our yard has ever undertaken. His success with the job earned Annapolis Harbor Boat Yard accreditation with Cummins Marine Power as a certified installation yard for Cummins engines. No matter what your boat’s mechanical problem is, Mike and his staff can diagnose it and fix it.

Overhaul of a 20 year old 50HP Westerbeke Diesel.
This twenty year old diesel was thought to be at the end of its useful service life. Oil leaks, coolant leaks and many other problems plagued this venerable workhorse.
A highly skilled AHBY mechanic dedicated himself to resurrecting this engine, saving the owner thousands of dollars in replacement costs.
